If you are a Wallace and Gromit fan you know Wallace likes cheese, especially Wensleydale cheese.
Today we went to Wensleydale Creamery. We saw real cheese making action...it was a bit underwhelming actually. There was one room we could observe from and the viewing windows proved pretty limiting to the whole cheese making process. The kids liked it though.
My favorite part was tasting the cheese. Mmmm, so many glorious flavors of delectable cheese. Adam was ready to buy the whole lot. We did come home with a nice stash, although Adam would argue we could have purchased more.
On our way home we stopped in a village called Aysgarth. We hiked around in the woods and visited the three famous Aysgarth waterfalls on the river Ure. The upper fall was featured in the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. I was expecting to see some sort of statue or monument of Kevin Costner's tush. Sadly, there was no such tribute...there wasn't even plaque.
