Fountains Abbey

We've done a little site seeing as the days have gotten nicer. A few times we've gone to Fountains Abbey. It is relatively nearby and there is so much to see, we still haven't seen it all!

When we went the first time we only saw a small portion of the Abbey because the sun was melting the snow and as we walked the Abbey walls we would get pelted with slush.

We mostly walked the grounds and saw the Water Garden. Unfortunately we were unable to get any pictures of the Water Garden because by that point Spencer had fallen into a puddle of water and demanded to be held. Since both Adam and I were holding kids we didn't have a free hand for the camera.
The second time around the weather was much nicer. We got to see more of the Abbey and we visited the Mill. Spencer liked seeing the huge water wheel and ringing the outside bell.
We need to go back at least one more time to see the church, which is currently closed until Easter, but we'll probably make several more trips because we really like Fountains Abbey.
